Tough choice, but we had to get the truck out today and head to a commercial job in Richmond, which meant missing the Tasman Mako taking on Southland at Trafalgar Park. Fortunately some of our whanau were able to replace us and represent the Nelson Waterblasting crew at the game.
The Mako500 Club gives us an opportunity to be part of, and support, one of the Nelson region’s great community institutions. The Mako bring people together from Nelson, Stoke, Richmond, Motueka and further afield. They are local lads and deserve that support.
We quite often have to get to commercial jobs at a weekend to minimise disruption to business owners and pedestrians, especially in the CBDs. Today’s mission was a medical centre in Richmond and tomorrow we are in central Nelson.
Hopefully we can get to the footy for the next home match, which is in Blenheim on 5th September v Wellington. But first up is a long trip to Northland next weekend to take on the Ranfurly Shield holders. Could be a great weekend.
